The Museum of Emigration is a pioneering project of great importance for millions of Poles in Poland and all over the world. The history of Polish emigration, the process so important for our culture and national identity, will gain here the proper recognition it deserves.

Gdynia became the true centre of Polish emigration in the times of the 2nd Republic. The Maritime Station served the passenger traffic for half a century and will regain its splendour owing to the Museum.

The address and location of the future museum were imprinted in the memories of thousands of Polish emigrants and their relatives.
